Join us in a project to start a movement to save our country and protect the future of our children and grandchildren. It only takes 3 minutes a day. Want to know how?
The Short Version
Add your Republican members of Congress to your contacts.
Sign up for the Daily Congressional Calls email (send an email to Mary.IndivisibleFL13@gmail.com with the message ‘I’m in’) and receive an email each morning with a short message on a current issue.
Take 3 minutes (approximately one minute each) to call your Republican members of Congress every day. Tap and talk.
Spread the word.
Save the country.
The Whole Kit and Kaboodle or The Why of It All (recommended)
While our sweep of the elections on 11/4/25 was heady stuff, we cannot rest on our laurels. Instead it’s time to double down. With the speed with which Trump and his enablers are working to steal our democracy, it would be foolish to wait and hope for the midterms to save us. Republicans in Congress have the power to fix this mess now, and we can make them do just that. It only takes three minutes a day to remind them that we are here, and we employ them. The way to do this is with a sustained, dramatic increase in the number of calls, emails, postcards, hand-written letters, and visits to their office.
This happens organically from time to time. Just two examples of many: it happened in Trump’s first administration when they were stealing immigrant children from their parents and again just recently when ABC fired Kimmel. The problem is that while these periods of heightened activity are great for solving individual crises, it will take a lot more to avoid the catastrophe that’s coming at us. Fixing that problem is the sole purpose of this project.
The goal is for so many of us to contact them so often for so many weeks on end that we knock them right out of their comfort zone, and we keep them there. We do not allow them to slip back into their normal way of pretending that we do not even exist. We’re going to show them that we do, and we’re going to do that by making calls to Congress so quick and easy that even the busiest of us can find the time to make them. When enough of us contact our members of Congress often enough, voicemails fill up, inboxes overflow, mail is delivered in bags, and Republican Senators and Representatives are annoyed all day long by the sound of phones ringing off the hook and their aides complaining about the extra work load. This is how we get right inside their heads. The trick is to stay there.
And yes, it is hard to imagine Scott, Moody, or Luna ever crossing the aisle to vote with Democrats. Not these days. But then who the heck would have thought Margorie Taylor Green would ever be our ally in our fight to extend the ACA credits. So, it seems almost anything is possible.
We need to increase the level of our contact with Congress and keep it up, week after week, month after month, and not stop until we get that fascist out of our Whitehouse, however much of it is still standing by then.
But we’re all busy. We have good intentions, but life just gets in the way. What if it took only three minutes a day, though, to do your part to make this happen? Only three minutes to do something that could ensure your children and grandchildren grow up in a democracy as we did. Would you commit to just three minutes?
It starts with adding your Republican members of Congress to your contacts. That way they’re always right there – just a tap away. And if you call them every day as some of us do and we hope you will, they’re also right there in your ‘recent calls.’ You don’t even have to go looking for them. In most cases, it takes only three minutes total to make the calls. Sometimes a little more. Sometimes a little less. Just tap and talk.
This method is faster and easier even than 5 Calls. Not easy enough? Try this. Send an email to Mary.IndivisibleFL13@gmail.com with the message ‘I’m in,’ and you will receive an email every morning with a short message on a current issue. And in cases like ABC firing Jimmy Kimmel, they’ll also include corporate contact and boycott information. Use that message, edit it, or make your calls on whatever it is that’s on your mind that day. We’re not doing this because we want everyone to call on our message or even because we want them to use our method of calling. We’re putting this out there to let people know that even on your busiest days you can still do something to protect our democracy. You can even make these calls on commercials when you finally do have the time to sit down, relax, and veg out in front of the TV. They’re that quick and easy.
The point is to contact your Republican members of Congress however you want to: phone calls, emails, postcards, hand-written letters, or camp out on their doorstep. But do it every day. This method of calling is a great way to go when you do not have time for those other methods.
Three minutes a day and occasionally an effort to spread the word if you can. Once you convince yourself of just how easy this is, talk to your like-minded friends and family. Demonstrate a call for them so they can see just how fast and easy this is. Or make a video for social media if you’re good at that.
Whatever we can do to spread the word to people, who will spread the sord to people, who will spread the word. So, as we draw ever more people into this movement, and it moves beyond the borders of Pinellas and then Florida, it will begin to affect other members of Congress, some of whom can be more easily turned than ours. We do not need many of them to vote with the Democrats to fix this mess.
And if you wonder if it’s possible for us to start a movement, think about this. TeslaTakeDown started with a post on BlueSky; and there were people saying “it won’t work” even as the first protesters showed up at a Tesla showroom. We can do this. As a matter of fact, we have to. For the sake of our country and our loved ones.
So, once you see for yourself just how fast and easy you can make those three calls, start getting your friends and family involved. When enough of us take action, we will take our government back from the felon and his fascists! Please join us.
