The 2026 Midterms - Meet the Candidates who Share our Values

Pretty much every two to four years in

recent decades we hear, “this will be

the most consequential election yet.”

In 2026 that may actually be the case.

Our best chance to put a stop to

Trump and his enablers stealing our

Democracy and replacing it with a

Dictatorship rests with taking at least

one (and hopefully both) houses of

Congress by such large margins it will

be difficult for them to steal the

election. Something we know

they are planning.

For that reason, Pinellas Protests will

be including candidate information on

the site. It is imperative that we all

become familiar with the candidates

who share our values. The ones who

can and will help us to fix the mess

Trump and his billionaire supporters

have made of OUR country. In order

to save ourselves, we must support

these candidates, both financially for

those who can, and with our labor and

word of mouth to our family and

friends. We must get involved to an

extent not seen in decades. Let’s do it

for our children and their children.

We start with Brandt Robinson

who is running for Congress

in District 13 (the seat currently held

by Anna Paulina Luna). A high school

history teacher, Brandt has spent

years working directly with students,

families, and local organizations

giving him practical insight into the

everyday issues people face –

education, housing, economic

insecurity, and community safety.

Those of us who know him through

his activism with Indivisible North

Pinellas can tell you he’s the real deal.

David Glenn

Democrat for

Pinellas County Commission

District 6

David has always taken a leadership

role in everything he has

accomplished. He will take charge of

the issues and lead us to build a better

Pinellas County. He has several great

ideas on how to bring about some

well-needed changes to county

government and planning. As an

architect, he’s here to help build a

better place through continued

investment in our local

neighborhoods and communities.

Bryan Beckman – Bryan has spent

his career helping families and small

businesses lower energy costs and

make ends meet. Now he’s ready

to bring practical, people-first

leadership to Tallahassee.

5:00 – Interfaith Freedom Vigil

Pinellas County Justice Center

14250 49 St N in Clearwater

INTERFAITH FREEDOM VIGIL

AND SIGN-WAVING PROTEST

Join the Florida Interfaith Coalition

and allies for a Freedom Vigil as we

stand in solidarity with immigrant

families and demand an end to the

detention and deportation of our

nonviolent, law-abiding immigrant

community neighbors, siblings, and

friends. Around the state, including

the Everglades, people gather at the

same time each week outside local

jails and detention centers, where

immigrants await transfer and

deportation. We believe that our

immigrant neighbors should not be

held at these jails. It diverts resources

from our local budgets to separate

families and disappear people with no

due process. We pray for family

reunification and justice for all

immigrants. Together, we affirm that

justice, compassion, and the rule of

law must apply to everyone—

regardless of immigration status.

Mass deportation policies don’t just

tear families apart; they set a

dangerous precedent that threatens

the constitutional rights of all

Americans. When due process is

denied to one group, the foundation of

democracy itself is weakened. By

coming together in public prayer,

witness, and solidarity, we send a

clear message: Our communities

believe in fairness, dignity, and

accountability. This is a peaceful,

family-friendly event featuring

interfaith clergy, moments of

reflection, and opportunities

to take action.

And please bring a donation to help

our neighbors in need: maseca (masa

flour), corn husks, rice (1 lb bag),

vegetable oil, corn tostadas, dried

lentils (1 lb bag), dried red beans (1 lb

bag), and pickled/canned jalapeños.

Monetary donations are the most

direct and helpful support because

they allow flexibility in meeting

urgent needs and providing fresh

foods. You may donate here.

Friday – April 24 – 10:00 to 11:30 am

And every Friday

3213 W Kennedy Blvd in Tampa

FOX TAKE DOWN

Every Friday, local Tampa Bay

activists protest in front of FOX13

(3213 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL

33609) for public awareness of MAGA

misinformation propagated by FOX

NEWS. FOX13 Station is chosen

because of location and

name recognition.

Bring your signs, your banners, your

costumes, and anything that RESISTS

the trump regime. FOX13 is a good

local news outlet that doesn’t engage

in the rampant misinformation that

FOX NEWS propagates and is not the

target of our activism. This is a

peaceful protest. Do Not harass any

employees of FOX13.

No amplification devices are allowed

(enough cars will be honking their

horns) No yelling of profanity or

agitations are allowed.

Participants must remain on public

property (sidewalks, easements) Park

in the surrounding neighborhoods and

be respectful of neighbors.

WEATHER PERMITTING.

CANCELS IF HURRICANE.

Pasco County

Wednesday – April 15

9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Morning rush hour or the lunch rush.

Or when the weather’s nice

or you have some free time.

Just pick a time and

head for a street corner near you

on Highway 54.

HUMPDAY SOCIAL

This is a local Indivisible event!

Hopefully one day a national event ….

Grab a sign, grab a friend,

and head to a street corner near you

on Highway 54 for an hour or 2 every

Wednesday. Every week.

Maybe it’s the morning or afternoon

traffic jam, maybe it’s the lunch rush.

Make it the time when the weather is

decent out, or there aren’t any

appointments on your schedule. Just

pick a time and get out there. Our time

shifts a bit every week in order to

reach different drivers and

get decent weather.

The goal is to create a weekly event

where discussion in and out of the

vehicles is stirred, where we can find

common ground and bring our

neighbors back together. Pick your

sign carefully and let it be one that

makes people have conversation,

not arguments.

Ultimately we see this filling Pasco

County from Zephyrhills to New Port

Richey on FL Hwy 54. Signs of concern

displayed by dedicated individuals

every Wednesday until the chaos is gone.

Let’s get over this hump(day) together.

A core principle behind all Indivisible

events is a commitment to nonviolent

action. We expect all participants to

seek to de-escalate any potential

confrontation with those who

disagree with our values.
