Equality Florida needs your help to
reach our incredible LGBTQ+
community! With the increase in
polarity surrounding LGBTQ+ issues
in Florida, we need all hands on deck
to talk with LGBTQ supporters, collect
petitions, recruit volunteers and
educate our community!
If you are experiencing any symptoms
of COVID-19 or have been exposed to
someone with COVID-19, please do
not attend the event. Visit the CDC’s
website for more information about
coronavirus symptoms and
precautions. We will have a limited
supply of face masks available
at the event.
Tuesday – May 12 – 9:00 to 11:00 am
2001 Siesta Dr in Sarasota
Join us for our weekly rally in Sarasota
to resist fascism, get ICE off our
streets, and support Social Security.
Meet like-minded people who are
standing up for our rights. Help save
the Social Security we paid for and our
families are paying for.
No Trump “ICE GOONS”
in Sarasota schools!
No concentration camps!
No kidnapping of innocent people!
This is a local, Sarasota-based,
grassroots rally by Indivisible
Sarasota. WE ARE SEEN BY 2,500-
3,000 VEHICLES EACH WEEK! We
meet outside the Social Security office,
at the intersection of Siesta Drive and
South Tamiami Trail. The big sign
there is for the restaurant, Flemings.
The rally is in the shade and during
morning rush hour, so it will be
relatively cool but with a lot of
visibility. Parking is right across Siesta
Drive in the empty shopping mall
parking lot. By persisting week after
week, we are showing the people of
Sarasota that we are in this for the
long term and will persevere as long as
necessary. Expect lots of supportive
honking of horns.
Bring your own sign about Social
Security or any other topic related to
the resistance against the MAGA
attack on our democracy. See you there!
Sunday – May 17 – 3:30 to 5:00 pm

Join us for an exciting opportunity to
connect with and support Glenn
Pearson, Democratic Candidate for
the US House,
FL Congressional District 16.
Momentum is with Glenn’s grassroots
campaign: Glenn is the first and only
candidate in either party to qualify for
the race by collecting more than the
2,564 petitions required.
Glenn has spent his life standing up
for everyday people—first as a
broadcast journalist who exposed
corruption and held the powerful
accountable, and now as a small
business owner helping working
families secure their futures.
Past president of the Manatee County
Black Caucus, past vice-chair of the
Manatee County Democratic party and
a long-time local resident, Glenn has
seen firsthand how a broken political
system favors the wealthy and well-
connected while hardworking families
fall behind. That’s why he’s running
for Congress: to bring truth,
accountability, and common sense
back to Washington, and to fight for
an economy that works for everyone—
not just those at the top.
Glenn is stepping up to fight for
programs that help us: Medicare,
Medicaid, Social Security, food
assistance and programs for people
with disabilities, and our veterans. He
will fight against anything that harms
hardworking families: tariffs,
ICE and this war of choice.
Hear directly about his vision and
plans for our community. Ask
questions and share your concerns.
Meet neighbors and show your support.
