Manatee Protests
Never again miss a protest,
rally, townhall, or action
because you didn’t
know about it!
Protests and Events
Sunday – June 14 – 7:30 to 9:00 pm ET
Virtual – watch from anywhere
On June 14, the Committee for the
First Amendment will be hosting Rise
Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First
Amendment, an uplifting evening of
song, solidarity, and action. Featuring
an all-star line-up of performers, this
90-minute concert event will celebrate
the freedoms guaranteed by our First
Amendment—of speech, religion,
press, assembly, and protest—and the
people power that both fuels these
rights and is essential to guarantee them.
Even as authoritarians increase their
attacks on our freedoms and
communities, we see examples across
the country of people rising up
together, taking action, and turning
back those forces.
The event will be streamed with watch
parties all across the country—so
wherever you are, you can sing along,
find inspiration in the performances,
build community, and take
meaningful action together.

Virtual training – join from anywhere
It is not a question of whether those in
power will try to steal the elections;
the recent Callais decision makes clear
that authoritarians are already doing
everything they can to grab power and
keep us from voting. Our task is clear.
Fight, win, prove, and enforce free and
fair elections. With that in mind,
Freedom Trainers has revamped
its Noncooperation 101 Training,
to emphasize a focus on
election protection and preparedness.
Join us for a 2-hour virtual training on
civil resistance and noncooperation.
We will cover the authoritarian threat,
how to defeat it, and especially focus
on countering the all-out assault on
our elections and freedom to vote at a
scale matching the severity of the
threat. Participants will leave with
concrete steps for taking action.

We are facing the most brazen
rollback of civil rights in generations.
The same spirit that fueled Selma,
Montgomery, and the March on
Washington lives on in our unified action.
Six years after the passing of
Congressman Lewis, we continue the
fight for voting rights with “Good
Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action
(GTLO)” from July 17-19.
Join us for a training to learn how you
as an attorney, can help provide legal
knowledge and support for one of the
nationwide voter registration events
in your area.
We will also discuss other ways you
can help, including: Legal Observers
for Voter Registration, Rallies,
Marches and other Public Events;
Speakers at Teach Ins, Faith Based
Events and Other Events; Election
Protection Hotline Volunteer; Legal

Join the Democratic Hispanic Caucus
of Florida for a special event featuring
Democratic U.S. Senate candidates
LTC (Ret.) Alex Vindman and State
Representative Angie Nixon. In
separate conversations, each
candidate will discuss their vision for
Florida and the nation, outline the key
priorities of their campaign, and
explain what distinguishes their
candidacy ahead of the August
primary election. This is a unique
opportunity to hear directly from both
candidates, learn about their plans to
address the challenges Floridians face,
and compare their approaches to the
issues affecting our communities, our
state, and our country.
