RE-ENROLL VBM PHONEBANK AT HOME
Florida’s vote-by-mail rules
changed as of January 1, 2025.
All voters now have to request a mail
ballot every two years. Over 1.2
million Florida Democrats (and
over 95,000 in Pinellas!) who voted in
2024 had to request a new vote-by-
mail ballot. Pinellas Democrats made
over 100,000 phone calls before the
Primary Election. We have made
progress. Many Democrats have re-
enrolled. But not all.
JOIN US! We aren’t done yet!
You may make calls from home
anytime between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Monday – Saturday, and 11:00 AM –
7:00 PM on Sundays! You pick the
times that work for you from the
comfort of your own home. Training
tools and resources will be provided
after you sign-up.
If you would like any additional
training or support, please feel free to
sign-up to join us in person on
Sundays from noon to 2:00 at the
Pinellas Democrats Headquarters.

who prefer walking with a group, and
experienced volunteers who can help
welcome new participants.

Virtual event.
Join Florida Democrats for our
Statewide Action Nights, with
phonebanks running each night
from 5-9 PM.
– Florida Democrats are running
ahead of the national environment.
We’ve flipped 40 seats from red to
blue since 2024, and we have a real
opportunity to win up and down the
ballot this November. But we have to
put in the work — and that’s why we’re
so glad you’re here.
– Together, we’ll call voters who may
not vote this year unless they hear
from us about Angie Nixon for U.S.
Senate, David Jolly for Governor, and
all the Democrats on their ballots.
– Join volunteers from across the state
to make calls from home using our
Scale to Win dialer and help us reach
the voters we need to win on Election Day.
– You can call with a smartphone,
laptop, tablet, or computer. Your
personal phone number stays hidden,
and calls come from a Florida
Democratic Party number. You’ll only
be connected to voters who answer, so
you won’t spend the night listening to
the phone ring.
Want to make it a night with friends?
Invite a few people over to call
together. Our House Party toolkit has
what you need to get started.

For more than a year, millions of
people have come together to reject
the idea that power belongs to kings,
billionaires, or politicians who believe
they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step,
turning people power into voter
power. Unlike previous No Kings
actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not
purely a protest. Instead, on October
17th, it’s a day of nonpartisan voter
participation: we are bringing our
community together to make a plan
to vote early and ensuring every
eligible voter understands their
options for how to vote and has the
opportunity to make their voice heard.

5:30 to 6:30 pm
Dunedin Beach
61 Causeway Blvd in Dunedin
Our vote shines as bright and bold as a
Gulf Coast sunset, a true reflection of
the strength and spirit of our freedom.
We take a moment to come together,
celebrate and share hope for a brighter
tomorrow. This isn’t a protest, it’s a
“vote test.” Let’s connect and
commit to voting early.
Bring your beach chairs, pack the
cooler, and deck out yourself, your
spot, or your ride with red, white, and
blue—or any fun voting-inspired
theme you choose! Most importantly,
bring your dedication to voting early
and helping others do the same. The
goal? To make history—not through
protest this time, but by letting our
vote be our voice and aiming for the
highest early voting turnout EVER!
We’ll soak in the day’s beauty, letting
the sunset inspire change and hope for
the future. Community and nature
hold the power to heal, and together
we’ll share and reflect in that energy.
Please follow all beach rules—while
the official event end time is 6:30 pm,
while sunset is around 7:20. If severe
weather hits, the gathering will be
canceled, but our mission stays strong.
Try to park near “the High & Dry
Grill/Gulf side” (look
for balloons on cars). Parking is free,
and arriving early gets you “the best”
spot. Voter Action Pinellas will be
there until 6:30 to answer voting
questions and share info about
upcoming elections—we’re lucky to
have their support!
Together, by believing in our power as
a community that votes early and with
purpose, we become the change our
democracy needs and deserves.
And now… a word from No Kings:
We decide who represents us.
We decide what comes next.
For more than a year, millions of

INTERFAITH FREEDOM VIGIL AND
SIGN-WAVING PROTEST
Join the Florida Interfaith Coalition
and allies for a Freedom Vigil as we
stand in solidarity with immigrant
families and demand an end to the
detention and deportation of our
nonviolent, law-abiding immigrant
community neighbors, siblings, and
friends. Around the state
people gather at the
same time each week outside local
jails and detention centers, where
immigrants await transfer and
deportation. We believe that our
immigrant neighbors should not be
held at these jails. It diverts resources
from our local budgets to separate
families and disappear people with no
due process. We pray for family
reunification and justice for all
immigrants. Together, we affirm that
justice, compassion, and the rule of
law must apply to everyone—
regardless of immigration status.
Mass deportation policies don’t just
tear families apart; they set a
dangerous precedent that threatens
the constitutional rights of all
Americans. When due process is
denied to one group, the foundation of
democracy itself is weakened. By
coming together in public prayer,
witness, and solidarity, we send a clear
message: Our communities believe in
fairness, dignity, and accountability.
This is a peaceful, family-friendly
event featuring interfaith clergy,
moments of reflection, and
opportunities to take action.
And please bring a donation to help
our neighbors in need: maseca (masa
flour), corn husks, rice (1 lb bag),
vegetable oil, corn tostadas, dried
lentils (1 lb bag), dried red beans (1 lb
bag), and pickled/canned jalapeños.
Monetary donations are the most
direct and helpful support because
they allow flexibility in meeting urgent
needs and providing fresh foods.
You may donate here.

THE VOTE IS SACRED TOUR CLEARWATER
The Vote Is Sacred 2026 is Interfaith
Alliance’s nationwide effort to protect
our democracy and empower people of
faith to get out the vote in the midterm
elections. At the heart of The Vote Is
Sacred is a cross-country bus tour,
launching October 6 in Omaha and
running through Election Day: a
month on the road in the communities
where the freedom to vote is under the
most pressure, with public gatherings
that platform local clergy and faith
communities, election protection
trainings, voter registration and
canvassing anchored at the bus, and
vigils standing against fear and
intimidation at the ballot box. We
partner with local organizations
at every stop.
We will be part of the weekly Vigil for
Immigrant Justice and the Call to End
Section 287(g) of the Immigration and
Nationality Act, which authorizes U.S.
Immigration and Customs
Enforcement (ICE) to delegate federal
immigration enforcement authority to
state and local law enforcement
agencies. This is a time to reflect on
what it means to stand witness and
hold vigil as an act of participatory
democracy. Calling for systemic
change and an end to immigrant
detention without due process, this
vigil has taken place 50 weeks in a
row, organized by faith leaders and
people of conscience, standing in
solidarity with other vigils
across the state and nation.
This vigil is held in partnership with
Interfaith Alliance of Florida, Voter
Action Pinellas, the League of Women
Voters of St. Petersburg, and the
League of Women Voters
of North Pinellas.
Join us, because the vote is sacred,
and democracy needs people of faith.

Spend part of your Sunday connecting
with the community and supporting
Team Kirschner! Launch location
subject to priority
Community Canvass Sundays are
designed to bring volunteers together
for meaningful conversations with
Pinellas County voters. We’ll knock on
doors, listen to residents, share
campaign information, and invite
members of the community
to become involved.
No previous canvassing experience is
required. We will provide training,
campaign materials, a conversation
script, and a neighborhood assignment.
Come by yourself, bring a friend, or
organize a small group from your
congregation, neighborhood, campus,
civic organization, fraternity, sorority,
or community network.
Volunteers may be paired with an
experienced canvasser before heading
into the neighborhood.
Wear comfortable clothes,
bring a friend, and help us connect
with voters one conversation at a time.

Important Info: Each week we will
meet in a new location in our district.
The possibility of a blue (or at least
purple) Florida is not as much an
impossibility as you might think. To
get there, we need a Democratic
trifecta in DC that finally passes
campaign reform. Campaign reform
that includes a mandate for district
maps drawn by independent
committees (not DeSantis or anyone
like him). Fair maps would give us a
fighting chance here in Florida every
two years. Not just
when there’s a blue wave.
Ben Wikler is a former Wisconsin
Democratic State Party Chair. He’s
given much of the credit for
Wisconsin’s political turnaround, and
he’s just written a book “This is the
Plan – How to End America’s
Meltdown and Save Democracy” that
has a lot of great ideas for taking
that turnaround national.
The plan is to get strategic about how
we spend at least a part of our
campaign donations and volunteer
time. Instead of collectively spending
millions of dollars and hundreds or
thousands of hours on virtual
phonebanking for pie-in-the-sky glitzy
campaigns that go viral on social
media, we could support some of the
many close campaigns that are already
within a hair of flipping red seats blue.
There are always some (and
sometimes many) of them out there,
usually starving for donations and
volunteers. Supporting these
campaigns is our best route to get to
that DC Democratic trifecta, campaign
reform, and the beginning of the end
of our political nightmare here in Florida.
This new project, A Plan to Turn
America Blue (and Florida at least
Purple), takes those ideas and makes
it as easy as possible for the rest of us
to implement them. Sign up for the
project and you will receive emails,
each one featuring at least one race
where you can make this kind of
difference. They will explain why that
race is so important and so winnable.
And they will have links to the
candidate’s website, articles and
videos about them, their ActBlue
account, sites where you can volunteer
to phonebank for them, and whatever
else I can find to help you, as an
individual, make the decision as to
whether or not and how you want to
support that race. Whether or not you
want to send them a few bucks or
spend an hour or two
calling voters in their district.
This is a long-term battle to be fought
here and long distance in swing
districts around the country. Whatever
the outcome of this midterm election
we will work to improve it in two years
and two years after that and on the
many races that occur in between
those. We do not stop because we can
never again assume our government
can continue on autopilot with little to
no attention from us. Because now
we know what comes of that.
Sign up here and you can help
turn America Blue and
Florida at least Purple.
