Forge New Community Connections!
Do you want to help grow Florida
LGBTQ+ people power and connect
with other members of the
community? Pride month is here, and
that means we’re recruiting more
volunteers than any other time of the
year. That means we need dedicated
volunteers like you to help ensure
these new volunteers are
plugged into the work!
We will be calling newly registered
volunteers and helping them navigate
their journey as a volunteer. Since
phone banking is vital to the growth of
any movement, this is an excellent
chance not only to meet like-minded
peers and build queer people power,
but also develop valuable skills
for activist work.
We will be providing free food and drinks!!
Don’t have experience phone-banking?
No problem!
Whether you’re a veteran phone
banker or have never tried it, we
NEED your help! We will provide
training for inexperienced phone
bankers to ensure you start
making calls with confidence!

The threat to the upcoming midterm
elections is of a different magnitude
than most of us have experienced in
our lifetimes. The modern American
authoritarian movement has rapidly
advanced efforts to dismantle
democracy – and subverting elections
is the next step for this authoritarian
movement, if it is to continue
consolidating power. We are
expecting an onslaught of election
sabotage tactics from localized and
national forces, and we need a
movement response. Join us for a
series of trainings that will help your
community not just defend the
elections but grow a proactive,
movement-building response that
demands a more robust democracy
beyond the ballot count. Please Note:

It’s official: Senator Brian Nathan is
kicking off his re-election campaign,
and we want you in the room.
Join us on July 22 as we launch the

Young voters have the power to shape
the future of our communities, but
only if we vote. Join People Power for
Florida as we knock on doors in the
USF Tampa area to help students and
recent graduates make a plan to vote
in the August 18 election. No
experience is necessary. We’ll provide
all the training and materials
you need before we head out!
What to expect:
– Help students and recent graduates
make a plan to vote on August 18
– Receive a brief training
before canvassing begins
– Knock doors alongside an
experienced volunteer or organizer
– Meet other volunteers who are
passionate about building
youth power
– Wear comfortable shoes and

our Driver Training Session! Come
meet our team, and learn what it is to
become a Volunteer Driver!
You do not have to be a Tech Guru to
use our applications and programs,
however we do ask that you are
comfortable using a cell device. After
meeting our team, we will walk you
through our history, as well as
apps/programs that you will use as a
driver. There’s quite a bit to cover, but
our team will be with you
every step of the way!

For this upcoming election in Florida
on August 18th, we will be operating
in Brevard, Broward, Escambia,
Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Orange,
Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk,
Seminole Counties. We have many
voters in the area and need your help
to make sure they are given the
opportunity to vote in the
upcoming election.
